Watheeq Capital Announcement Regarding Watheeq Educational Fund

Watheeq Capital, the manager of Watheeq Educational Fund, announced that the fund has completed its first asset acquisition: Tabuk International Schools.

The CEO of Watheeq Capital, Mr. Abdullah AlMuhareb, stated that the fund aims to acquire promising schools in various regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This is the second fund from Watheeq Capital that targets the education sector, in line with the progress in the education sector envisioned in Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.

Dr. Badr Al‑Alawi, CEO of Nama Investment (the technical manager and operator of the fund’s companies), added that the acquisition of Tabuk International Schools reflects the schools’ distinguished reputation among parents and education professionals. This reputation stems from their vision and mission focusing on offering high‑quality education in a modern manner within an attractive learning environment, alongside strong academic support and advanced facilities. He explained that this acquisition will enable the development of educational programs aligned with labor‑market requirements.

It is worth noting that the target size of Watheeq Educational Fund is 500 million Saudi riyals. It is a closed, Sharia‑compliant private equity fund that aims to acquire promising schools in various regions of the Kingdom for operation and to enhance their market value, in addition to distributing annual profits to the fund’s unit holders.
